Introducing AMIS
AMIS is an online register of asbestos surveys with downloadable reports, photographs and building plans.
Specialist Computing has been developing asbestos systems since 1999 and the AMIS system benefits from our collaboration with a number of large UK organisations.
Structured data management facilities
AMIS interprets data from a structured Excel import spreadsheet, and provides detailed validation of results on import.
Once imported, the data is available via a web based interface and can be exported to Excel for further editing to track the history of a particular item. The rollback facility returns a building to its previous state in the case of an accidental import.
Data can also be exported for statistical analysis or to feed other systems.
Unified Document Storage
The AMIS website allows you to attach property plans (e.g. CAD drawings), elevation photographs, material assessment photographs and other files to a given building.
In addition, "activities" can be recorded against a building which can include files such as clearance certificates and air quality documentation.
Flexible Reporting
AMIS provides comprehensive reporting capabilities. Using custom templates, information is structured into a PDF report containing management summary information, a register of materials, detailed material and priority assessments.
Reports include a unique code, project and revision numbers and customisable appendices. The system also allows authorised users to upload signature images which can be included on the reports.
HSG264
The UK Health and Safety Executive provides guidance for carrying out and storing records on asbestos surveys.
The AMIS system has been designed to conform to the latest regulations, known as HSG264.
Hosting
AMIS is available as a hosted solution. All this requires is a standard web browser and the system is available from anywhere with an Internet connection.
As part of the hosted service, we also provide a custom domain name and SSL certificate.
