Court Listings and IDS

Courts recognise the need for quality of service to the Court User by supplying timely and relevant information.

Specialist Computing has developed and implemented software to provide daily court lists and other information on plasma display screens to assist the court user on arrival within the court and during their stay.

Automated Listings

Information Display Screens, both large plasma displays and small screens outside courtrooms, can provide both court lists and messages drawing the attention of defendants, witnesses and solicitors to relevant information.

Court lists are automatically generated using information imported from other court systems and are automatically displayed and sequenced.

The lists can be varied according to the location of the display.

A list showing surname and initial of the defendant together with the court room is generally shown in the foyer with the purpose of moving court users through this area as speedily as possible. Subsequent displays can show more details, such as the full name of the defendant, the start time of the hearing and relevant notes.

Beyond Listings

Messages for individual defendants can be attached to their listed information if required. All of the displays are flexible and each can contain it's own individual requirements.

Messages throughout the court building can be displayed from within a courtroom or from an administrative position. The length of display of messages can be varied with the lists being automatically managed.

The court lists can be placed within a sequence of messages, such as 'No Smoking' or 'Switch Off Mobile Phones'.

The sequencing and timing of lists and messages is totally flexible and can be managed from one central location.
