Licensing System
Specialist Computing has developed a comprehensive Licensing Software Package based on Microsoft Access to support the Licensing Process for both Courts and Local Authorities.
The package records details of premises, licensees, applications and hearings. As a result the system contains the ability to comprehensively manage applications and ensure hearing dates are not overbooked. Any conditions, undertakings and endorsements attached to granted licences can also be stored. Consequently the system includes the ability to create standard conditions and undertakings, which can be repeatedly selected, thus saving time on data input.
From the system, copies of licences and certificates for premises can be produced, with the ability for users to amend certificate/licence text to suit the Court or Local Authority’s individual needs.
Facilities are provided to produce statistical information via an enquiry screen.
The software is available now and can be implemented as a multi-user system on an industry standard network, and the Courts may implement the package on the Libra Office Automation system.
Data can be imported and combined from existing licensing packages and the main databases are installed on the local large file store with several users having concurrent access.
The implementation of the Licensing package can ease the transfer of responsibility for licensing between authorities and support the ongoing responsibility of the new licensing authorities.
