May 2010 -  Magistrates' Records


Specialist Computing has developed and replaced a Magistrates Records System which relied on a dedicated non-Libra network. The application now runs on the Libra Office Automation Network using standard Microsoft Access and includes all the features of the original system and more.



April 2010 -  Warrant Analysis and Tracking System (WATS) Expands Further


Specialist Computing's Warrant Analysis and Tracking system has now been introduced into the North East Region bringing the total number of counties using WATS to 17.



December 2009 -  20th Anniversary of Specialist Computing


Specialist Computing is celebrating 20 years of successful operation on 1 December 2009. We continue to develop and implement effective software solutions, mainly for Law Enforcement Agencies and the maintenance of Web based Asbestos Registers



November 2009 -  New Information Display System Installed


Specialist Computing installed and commissioned another Information Display System in a newly built 22 court room complex. The system imports and displays court lists and informative messages on public information displays in public areas and outside each court room. The software automatically distributes the lists of cases tailored for each court room with a combined index of cases in the foyers.



August 2009 -  New Product Released


STOWED - the flexible cost saving on-line document storage and distribution system designed for the Court Service has been released and installed in it's first Court Area



July 2009 -  Welcome to Matt Wilson


Matt Wilson BSc has joined Specialist Computing on a full time basis following his successful degree course at Southampton University. Matt has worked with Specialist Computing during vacation periods and has already made an impact on our development cycle.



March 2009 -  Court Proceedings


Specialist Computing's Court Proceedings System has been implemented by two additional Police Authorities bringing the total installations to six. The Libra PNC Disposal Register is used to import the defendant, offence and result data into a fully searchable history of court appearances. The user application is browser based with unlimited licence fees for a police area.



February 2009 -  AMIS Survey Manager now Integrated with AMIS Web


Specialist Computing's successful Asbestos Register System AMIS Web, has been enhanced by the integration of the AMIS Survey Manager desktop application into the web based version. This complete web based solution for updating and viewing asbestos data removes the need for deployment of an application to a workstation which had complicated some installations in large organisations.



January 2009 -  End of an Era


Specialist Computing has implemented and supported PC based applications for the Court Service for 15 years in association with Fujitsu Services. The implementation of the Libra System in all court areas replaced the need for these PC based applications and 31st March 2009 will see the end of the support contract. However Specialist Computing's web based Warrant Tracking Application (WATS) is fully operational in a number of court areas maintaining our long and continuing association with the Court Service.



December 2008 -  AMISWeb implementation for a Housing Association


Specialist Computing’s AMISWeb solution has been successfully implemented for a large Housing Association. The project includes hosting of the application, unlimited licence fees and data conversion. AMISWeb now includes an online version of AMIS Survey Manager which had previously been a desktop deployed application. This enhancement allows for an integrated solution and ease of deployment for in-house users and external contractors.



November 2008 -  Court Proceedings with Libra Results now live

July 2008 -  Independent Adjudications for the Prison Service


Specialist Computing has provided a new Microsoft Access "front end" to an existing database to support Independednt Adjudication visits by Judges for the Prison Service. New facilities include enhanced selection of Judges and updating of results. Confirmation letters can now be automatically emailed to Judges and Prisons



June 2008 -  MCS to Libra Codes Transfer


Specialist Computing has developed a code matching database to assist courts in the migration from Fujitsu MCS to the Libra Application. The system helps support the conversion of MCS Offence Codes to CCCJS codes



May 2008 -  RIAT Tasks


Specialist Computing is assisting the Royal International Air Tattoo by providing a web based solution to support the management of tasks to be undertaken by the site team.



March 2008 -  West Yorkshire Magistrates


Specialist Computing has taken on the support of and provided enhancements to the West Yorkshire Magistrates Database.

October 2007 -  IDS Multidisplay Installed at the new Manchester CJC


Installation of IDS Multidisplay in the brand new Manchester Civil Justice Centre. The software displays courtlists and general information on 23 display boards based outside the courtrooms and in the foyer.



July 2007 -  HMCS Project Manager


Bespoke application developed for HMCS. Includes event diary, finanace facilities and project log.



April 2007 -  District Judge Allocation System


We have recently developed and implemented a system for the Chief Magistrates Office in London to manage the allocation of District Judges and Deputy District Judges to court sittings throughout England and Wales.



February 2007 -  Multi-Screen System Released


Upgrades to IDS include a new multi-screen function that allows a single PC to run up to 10 screens, each showing independent pages.



January 2007 -  Asbestos Reporting


We have successfully rolled out a new custom data collection and reporting tool that allows users to process data via Excel and download a standard PDF report.



June 2006 -  WATS Mobile


The secure web-based Warrant Tracking Mobile Edition goes live.



May 2006 -  Magistrates' Management System


Magistrates' Rota extended to become Magistrates' Management System. Including new features such as training and applicants



February 2006 -  Nottinghamshire Rolls Out WATS


Warrant Tracking implemented at four locations in Nottinghamshire on the Libra OA Network
