Since 1984 Mike Pomeroy has been a member of the Site Team who help to run the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) now held at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire.

Since it was first staged at North Weald Aerodrome in 1971, the Royal International Air Tattoo has grown to become the greatest military airshow in the world.

In 2018, 245 exciting aircraft from 39 air arms representing 25 nations from around the globe touched down at RAF Fairford for the Air Tattoo, making it the best place to view an incredible range of military fixed wing and rotary aircraft.

Since 2002 Mike has been the Site Office Manager where plans are put in place and managed for the delivery of equipment and the building of the Airshow Showground. Kate joined Mike in 2006 very capably assisting in the Site Office with her excellent admin skills

Naturally, Specialist Computing has provided a Computer System to manage all the tasks required to build the site with timescales, reminders, contact details etc.

Unfortunately, RIAT2021 was cancelled due to the Covid-19 epidemic but we are hoping that we will be back for the 50th Anniversary of RIAT to be held at RAF Fairford in 2022
